Current State Board of Education work:
In 2022, I serve on the Board’s executive committee. I appreciate that my peers have placed their trust in me to serve in this role and I look forward to a productive year ahead.
In the past 3 years I have served on the following board committees: Executive, Strategic Planning, Finance, Student Success, Policy, and Legislative Committee.
My communication with stakeholders has been a huge focus and I have held many public Town Halls– including hosting discussions on health education, teacher shortages, statewide math readiness, shifting population trends and school accreditation. I’ve also accepted many speaking opportunities across my community and across Nebraska to listen to constituents and to help clarify state board processes and activities. If you are not currently on my email list, please send me a message and you will be added.
